So what is it about being small that means that companies don't want to make kit for us?? I have been desperately searching for fins that fit my feet, and have sadly failed miserably. For the time-being I am in a dry suit so my Mares Avanti Quattro small fins are just about ok, but with size 3 feet, they are too big to wear with my wet suit booties. The only company that seem to make fins small enough for me are Tusa, but for some reason they seem to think that because I have small feet, I want to have candy pink fins (or baby blue, which I really really don't like). I used to have pink fins, and do quite like them, but the baby pink is just a little toooo girlie for me. Just because I have small feet doesn't mean that I don't have to deal with currents underwater or that I don't need to have a professional level of fin. Hmmm Well that is my rant for the day today… Let's hope before the summer really kicks in, I am able to find some decent fins that fit.

You know what, I think you might find that they are the only ones you can get. But.. remember you like pink.. so maybe being a little extra girlie is not the end of the world?

I have finally found a set of decent fins!
After weeks of feeling like I was diving in a pair of wellies, my knees started to hurt, so I had to bite the bullet and find some kind of decent fin.
I have found the Mares Quattro Excel. It is kind of the newer version of the Avanti Quattro and actually comes in extra small.. Yay!!! It took a day to adjust and now I love them. I kept up with the whale shark easily and find no problems even if I have to work against a current now and again. And.. they come in a cool raspberry colour so my guests are not going to lose me in the water! ;D

Ah so you went for the pink ones! Hehe, am I surprised? Nope. So they are worth getting then?

Yes definitely worth it. They seem to have come down in price too. I saw them for about £69 on Simply Scuba whereas here in Sharm I paid about £90 for them a few months ago! Ouch! Next month tho, it will be back to black as I will be in my drysuit with bigger boots.
