Yes I finally saw a shark!!! How many weeks has it been? And how many sharks has everyone else been seeing??? Too long and toooo many!
Finally today it was all made up for by the most fantastic four or five minutes that I got to spend in the company of a beautiful 2.5m leopard shark. It was milling in and out of a ball of fusiliers and was so close I felt like I was in a Blue Planet video.
It circled several times, giving most of us a really good look... I screamed and pointed, ended up resorting to banging my tank to make sure the guys at the back of my group saw, but they only got a fleeting glimpse as it circled a final time and plunged into the blue below us.
What a dive!
;D

And another one! Yay! Another shark. We saw a leopard shark on The Alternatives the other day after diving the Dunraven, we thought we would stay in the shelter of this dive site, and lo we got a shark as well! Very cool, but it was waaay off the reef, so I found myself swimming back and forth making sure that all our divers realised and headed off to see it... I was shattered afterwards, had to take a moment to catch my breath!! Wow, I wasn't cold on that dive
