Well having got a little taster for underwater photography whilst on the Madagascar trip, I would now like to see how I get on taking my video camera underwater. Bit of a technical question really, but if any of you know of whether the Sony mini DV series of cameras have underwater housing built for them, I would love to hear from you. Either reply to this thread, or if you prefer, you can PM me.

I found u can get quite cheap housing on ebay, for this camera because it has a special LAN (I think) plug. You can get a standard video housing (as opposed to one just 4 that model), and plug it in so that the controls work electronically. Kind of beyond me, but look in2 it a bit n see.

Cheers for that Waterbabe,
I had heard similar, but must admit, had not pursued it, will have a look into it when I get the chance.
Having said that, the last two trips, I didn't even get to use my stills camera! In light of that… will I actually get around to doing video??

DigiDeep match cameras to housings and vice versa - along with users comments / reviews. www.digideep.com/product.php?pType=video_housing〈=enExcellent resource to find the housing that you need. Personally I'm very taken with the Gates range at the moment - great depth ratings av. 137msw. Should also mention that the main site ( www.digitdeep.com/ ) is aimed at stills the link to video section is top right quadrant.
