Ooo there has been a sighting, two in fact, of a whale shark in the region of Ras Ghozlani and Marsa Bareika (the first area you encounter in the Ras Mohammed National Park when you leave the jetty)!!
Jilly (now shark whisperer extraordinaire in my book!) saw one yesterday on her safety stop and today on a neighbouring site another (or the same one) was seen this morning.
Only the other day, as I noticed a few tunicates drifting along, and a smattering of plankton, I did wonder whether the big beauties would be back now that the water temperature had dropped once more.
I guess only time will tell, but if we get a frenzy like earlier this year, it will be awesome!!!

Ok so the whale sharks didn't make a major appearance in November, but there have been a few sightings of them again this spring.
Serena, one of our counter girls went fun diving off Paradise reef and saw one a couple of weeks ago.
And this one is more galling of all, one was seen off Naama Beach in the Red Sea College area on Friday afternoon. Doh! I had been in that very spot on Friday lunchtime!!! How close can you get to not seeing a whale shark???
Roll on my next dive, I will be eyes peeled, out to the blue hehe.
