Wow.. bit of an odd one here last week. We had sightings of a hump backed whale in the Ras Mohammed national park. Of course everyone was like "yeah right it won't be a whale it'll be a whale SHARK" and assuming that the Sharm grapevine had worked its usual wonders. However.. it was true.. there are photos too.. it has been seen by several guests and guides, some of whom even managed to get pickies! But.. sadly, before you say how cool it is.. bear a thought for the whale. Apparently, they can sometimes get a bit lost and find themselves in the Red Sea, and they will live a long if not happy life here. However the chances of them returning to their original ocean where their potential mates will be are very slim.. so sadly teh whale may never see another whale again

Ahh Poor Whale
Have there been any more sightings of the whale since this post was started? If not lets hope he/she has got back on track!

No no sign of it in sharm, however I believe it was recently spotted near Eilat.. so sadly, not quite back on track. We believe now that it came down the Suez canal.
