Well to be honest, if you were in the UK last week, you were probably in the best place!!!
Actually no.. apparently the weather really has been bad there with snow and everything... it has just been very windy here, and because we are all lilly livered wusses, we don't like it when it goes a little on the cool side!
We did had the best part of a whole day of rain though!! Certainly something I have never seen here.
Last Tuesday we had howling wind, thankfully from the West which meant that Naama Bay beach, where I was taking my Open Water students for their first sea dive, was one of only two flat calm places in Sharm el Sheikh!!! All the usual local sites were lumpy, Ras Mohammed was horrific with no one able to dive Shark and Yolande at all. However Tiran was totally sheltered like the beach, so people were diving the back of the reefs thankful that they headed north that day instead of south.
Thankfully the wind has promised to calm down and this week is looking like being fairly flat. The sun is back out to play too, so that is always a good thing. Roll on spring time, warm waters and hot sunshine once more.
