Yes, the news is out... summer is definitely on its way out.
The temperatures are just not quite as roasting now (which is in fact a welcome relief in many ways) which means that of course the water temperature is beginning to drop.
It kind of drops in stages... there will be a day with fierce thermoclines, then everything will even out and settle about a degree cooler.. then a week or two later, another day of thermoclines, and once again it all mixes in and results in another degree's drop.
At the moment it is around 27-28ºC however yesterday was another of those days of thermoclines, so maybe it will now settle at more like 26-27ºC. Now I know this sounds positively hot to many of you, however when you are doing three dives a day, and there is a consistent northerly breeze to cool you down, it doesn't take long for this to feel quite chilly.
Ah well... never mind, the sun is still shining...
