Ok so I'm looking back on this spring and in May we were raving about how it was warming up.. yet the water was only 24-25ºC!
This week the water has dropped to 26ºC on local sites and we are all wrapped up in neoprene and moaning about how it already feels quite chilly... But I guess it is all relative isn't it? For most, this would be positively bath-like.. the same temperature as an indoor swimming pool, nothing to worry about at all. It just goes to show how accustomed we get to that magic 29º in summer.
For those heading out here, it is still warm and sunny. In fact it is this time of year that you will actually see us guides sitting in the sunshine. You will probably want a full wet-suit though if you are doing a full week's diving, especially if you are doing more than two dives a day, and going to places like Tiran (always a little cooler) or Thistlegorm (the same).
