Here's an interesting one... I recently put a post on another forum declaring that dive knives were banned in the Red Sea, only to get shot down in flames by another diver who had dived in Jeddah (still the Red Sea of course) fully armed. So.. on a mission I sought to show the Ras Mohammed park rules where whilst they are specific to Egypt and the Sharm el Sheikh area... I could show that in that area knives and gloves are prohibited. Imagine my surprise after all this time of briefing the no gloves, no knives rule, to find that this is not stated at all Has anyone else been able to find this rule actually written down anywhere. I will continue to include this rule in my briefings, as this is certainly our dive centre's policy, but would be interested to see it written down somewhere and confirmed. Any thoughts are welcome.
