So once again a country simply declares that it is going to flout the rules and no one seems to be doing a thing about it. Iceland declared today that it is going to resume its commercial whale hunting. Of course that is not counting the many whales that are killed "in the name of science" already. I am not sure what the reaction to this has been from official corners, but it is certainly not going to be good for the poor whales.

This makes me soooo angry!! Why have people gotta be so evil? Wot kind of world do we live in? I can not understand why people want to destroy this beautiful planet. These people are sick! Do they not understand that by doing things like this they are spoiling things for the rest of us? What gives them the right to take these beautiful creatures away?

Of course now Japan has joined in too, and they are going to resume whaling as it is an "inherent part of their culture". Once again.... sign the petition: www.whalesrevenge.com/

Well at least someone is trying to do something about this... Greenpeace are on their way to the Antarctic in an attempt to stop the Japanese whaling ship. This ship is planning to fish 1000 whales this year including 50 of the endangered humped backed whale, which is just adding irresponsibility to a selfish act. To find out more and maybe even be able to help yourself pop along to the Greenpeace website.

Ok so some good news… apparently the Japanes whaling ship heading for the Antarctic is no longer going to be targeting the rare Humpbacked whale read more on the BBC News website. A small step, but at least it is in the right direction.
