The other night i found myself down at the local pool with a dive centre that is not too far from where i live - but this time the roles were switched and i was the one being taught! I had decided to do a rebreather trydive so, there i was with an Inspiration Classic strapped to my back! It was a very strange sensation whilst underwater, no bubbles for a start! It made an OC scuba unit feel really noisy in comparison! The hardest part was buoyancy, and remembering to add air if you clear your mask, as it takes it from the loop! After a while, i seemed to get to grips with things a little more - and it was so much fun! The unit didn't feel as bulky as my twin 12's, and was considerably lighter. I am now considering doing my Mod 1 course . . This could get expensive!!

It sounds like you had a great time. I have not tried a rebreather. I like the thought of a quiet dive though. That sounds most cool did you find it hard not being able to use your lungs to adjust buoyancy? I hadn't thought about the fact that clearing your mask would affect it. Interesting. I like the pictures too

Getting used to buoyancy was a little tricky at first, i found i really needed to think about what i was doing as oppose to diving OC. Good fun, i would recomend you have a go if you fancy it! Next challenge....Sidemounts!!
