So for the last week or so we have had a regular visitor to the Gardens area of Sharm... a baby oceanic white tipped shark!
It has appeared twice while I have been there, although sadly I have only seen it on the surface from the boat. Hopefully I will get my chance to see it during a dive this week. Who knows?
I will say, from what I have seen it is quite glorious, only about 1.5m long it truly is a baby (the oceanic white tip grows pretty large eventually) and at present is totally unfazed by the divers and snorklers that have been curiously taking a peek.

Ahhh how amazing. Is it still there? Will it be there when I get over for my trip?
Didn't you see another baby oceanic last year on another local site?

Yes we had a slightly larger baby oceanic white tip shark on Ras Nasrani last year. Sadly the one in the Gardens has not been seen since the storm... so am not sure if it will be back for your trip. It will still be out there somewhere though...
