No I don't mean which designer... but what kit. For some who have not had the chance to try out their own stuff, I thought it would be quite cool for those of us who have our own gear to share our insights:
I wear a Seaquest Diva LX bcd (very good, but now out of production. also very good for short or small women) my regs are Apex XTX 50 (fantastic, easy breathing) with a Mares low profile freediving mask (ideal for small faces) My drysuit is an O'three crushed neoprene(second hand, so I don't know the exact one) which is now on its fourth winter (bearing in mind that I dive almost every day, and wear my drysuit for 6 months of the year!) My wetsuit is an Aqualung 5mm fleecie lined (was the first wetsuit I found that actually fits me properly)
My computer is a Suunto Stinger (there's a looong story about that, but needless to say Suunto as a manufacturer are superb, with the best post sales customer care).
Hope that helps if any of you are thinking of buying some of your own stuff. For those who haven't met me, I am 5ft 1" and about a size 6-8 so finding kit that fits can be a challenge.

Gucci.. Prada... er no. More like second hand off ebay basics.
I got Scubapro mk25 regs which seem to work really well. Next on my list is the BCD. My wetsuit has no name! I got it off the bagain shelf of my local dive store for about a tenner. Bargain for real. It does the job tho ;D

Scubapro everything. Womens bc, steamer 7mm wetsuit n regs. All good stuff.
Fins are Tusa, but I want to change them to Mares. Tried the split fins but couldnt get on with them at all.

Hmm I would say most people get themselves a good mask, fins and wet suit first, partly because wetsuits and masks are really best when they fit well.. there is nothing worse than spending a dive freezing cold because the last wetsuits in your size have already been rented out and you've had to go a size up (happened to me in January here... bit nippy), or having to clear your mask because it really doesn't sit right on your face.
I would say too, that a computer would be a good step after that. As you really want to be in control of your depth and time in the water... it will also help you plan the dive to ensure that you don't exceed any no deco limits and enable you to multilevel your dives to allow a little more time underwater (not so straightforward with the basic tables).
I hope that helps.. I know dive kit is not cheap, so it is understandable that you might need to start small before splashing out on BCD's and regulators.
Good luck.
