Hey all you bunnies out there... happy new year to you all.
Hope you haven't broken your resolutions already.. or do like me and ensure you never break one, by opting out of them altogether
Well our New Year went with a swing, with lots of dancing to be done and drinking to be had. Thankfully no diving the next day... so no risk of the chamber getting overrun with bent divers (and instructors!!).
Hope 2006 brings you all what you want for... success both at home and work and not to mention total happiness ;D
Happy New Year to you Dive Bunnie and to all at Ocean College.
Thought I would pop on and have a look after remembering the wesite address was on your stamp in my log book from the scuba review you did with me back at the end of Nov thanks for a great review to get me back in the swing of things.
Also got a question for you regarding accom if I was to come over for Divemaster course as the PADI guide to the course length is 3weeks - 2months depending on the individual and the centre so if its 3 weeks ocean club accomadation is ok but if longer are there special deals that the hotel do for longer stays or can you rent apartments at a better rate.
Any help would be great
John
PS with the £239 for a week b+b with 4 days diving in Jan I might even pop back for a cheeky week soon
Great to hear that you are thinking of taking your diving to another level.
You are right in thinking that it may be better to opt for the longer course. The real recommended length is about a month. That way you can really get into the swing of things and learn how the boats are run here. You can do it as a kind of internship in that time which will really set you up for working in the industry.
As for accommodation, there are several options.. often people book a limited time at the Club and then look for alternatives once here. There are plenty of options. There are other instructors who have spare rooms for rent, that work out much cheaper than a hotel, or there is a cheap guest house in Naama Bay that can be an alternative. Depending on when you are here, there are deals to be had if it happens to be quiet, but your best option is to go for renting a place. Many of the apartments are on a lease though, so you may have to look into that a bit closer once you are here.
Drop me an email and I can recommend the instructors who do the best DM courses.
