Well I guess I should introduce myself seeing as this is my message board and I am member no. 1! Whilst I have not been diving a huge amount of time, the whole discovery of the underwater world has had a relatively life-changing effect on me and I wanted to share this with other divers. As I have already been involved with various web-sites over the last couple of years, the logical course seemed to be to create my own haven for girlies that dive, especially as we seem to be a little underrepresented on line.
So a big welcome to everyone who pops along. ;D
If you are a new member, we would love to hear your story here, create a new thread and tell us your tale:D

Thanks for the welcome Divebunnie, Have to say that I'm not actually a divegirl but thought I'd log on anyway and say hi. Will keep an eye out on the board for views and tips and probably post a few myself. Good luck with the site. Am off to the red sea myself in a couple of weeks so will no doubt have a story or two to post up. TEXTTEXT

I look forward to welcoming you both back at some point in the near future.

I look forward to hearing many stories, and sharing a few, and hopefully gaining some information as to where him and I can dive next!

Would you happen to know somewhere we could rent underwater photography equipment? TEXT

Hi to Dive Bunnie and the rest too. I know I've been a member here a little while. Been away tho so didn't get the chance to add anything. Shall definitely be back for more chats. I know its early days yet, but this should be fun ;D Have fun with the fishes

we are hoping to charter a trip out sometime next year for a weekend....looking forward to it!! Would you happen to know somewhere we could rent underwater photography equipment? Hey Tidetraveler, sorry for the delay in my response. With regards to camera hire, that does depend upon where you are based. It is not clear from your profile, however I have a feeling you are not in the UK, which is where I could give you some specific advice. Having said that, many dive operations will gladly hire you equipment, especially if you are doing a course with them (your advanced open water for example, you could do the photography dive as part of the course). Also if you hire out a boat next year as planned, you may find that they do a deal with some camera equipment as well. You mention in a previous email that you are looking for suggestions of diving sites, well, again that does depend upon your location. If you are in Europe I would strongly recommend the Red Sea, partly for its value for money, and partly because the diving really is stunning. If you are in the US, there is Florida, and Mexico along with much of the Carribbean especially St Lucia, where there is some fantastic stuff to see. In the far east, I would say Australia, or parts of the Maldives, though you need to make sure you know where you are going as the diving there can vary depending on which island you are based. I would imagine, that being recently qualified, you won't be looking for anything too challenging just yet, which again points to the Northern Red Sea. Any other suggestions from you guys? Wishing you luck wherever you decide to go, and be sure to let us know how the trip pans out.
