We love turtles, but they are such elusive creatures.
Here in Sharm they tend to stick around the farther flung reefs, such as the Ras Mohammed and Tiran areas. However yesterday we had a local visitor!! A lady green turtle was hanging around the seagrass area at Ras Katy no less! We had Open Water students, not even finished on their course, seeing their first sea turtle!

Shame on me!!
I have been totally slack with keeping this thread updated... and this winter we had a plethora of turtles in and around Ras Mohammed! In particular Shark and Yolande Reefs were host to several big males that could be spotted on most dives!
This week I was local and had the pleasure of being greeted by a big boy turtle on my birthday! How cool was that? He even stuck around, munching on a pile of coral while we hung mid water and watched for a good five minutes. In fact it was us who had to leave him enjoying lunch.. as our max time was drawing close.
