Well I guess winter is well and truly here, but all is not lost as after a couple of cloudy days last week, the sun is back out with a vengeance, and the sky is once again blue.
I will be honest though, and warn you that a woolly hat and fleecie is a must for between dives and the evenings… and bring all the neoprene you can pack. The water is still over 22ºC and feels warm once you are in and on your way, but getting out into the breeze that we have at the moment is very much a bit on the nippy side!
Of course if you are planning to stay dry and find a south facing, sheltered spot, you will still be able to head home with a great tan at the end of your week.
Having said all that, there are still sharks to be seen!! A grey tipped reef shark was seen last week on Jackson reef, so while it is far from common. The cool stuff is still out there to be seen.
