 Diving in the Dead Sea!!!

So you think the Red Sea is salty???

Well take a look at this. Diving in the Dead Sea!

I looked a little deeper into it all, and you need a full face mask and possibly 65Kg of kit! Ouch that is one heavy load. But the pictures look awesome! ;D

That looks amazing, a bit like ice diving.

I can't imagine diving with that much weight though, that is more than my own bodyweight!!! We have to dive with lots of lead here in Sharm it would be nuts over there.

Friends of mine have been to the Dead Sea, and it is so buoyant that once you get to waist level, your feet float up and you can't put them on the bottom, so some serious amount of lead must be needed.

Very cool though all the same... maybe one day I will get up there and give it a go.. it's not that far from here (relatively speaking). :o

Apparently the Dead sea is really freaky without trying to dive in it. You can't walk further than waist deep as your feet just float up. You can't swim in it either as you kind of loll about on the top of the water. :o weird
